Say Goodbye To Acne With Laser Acne Treatment

According to British dermatologists a single laser acne treatment will cure your acne for up to three months. One revolutionary approach to this form of treatment is the Isolaz Laser Treatment.

Often called Photopneumatics, this technique uses a combination of laser beams and air to kill the bacteria that causes the acne to develop. At the same time, the laser also cleans the area around the acne blemish to remove any dirt that may be clogging the pores and cause a future outbreak.

This is just one type of laser acne treatment with which dermatologists and patients have reported success. It can be used to treat scarring due to acne problems in the past. Depending on the scope of your problem, doctors used lasers of varying lengths and beam strengths to recontour the skin tissue around the scarred area and to reduce the redness that occurs from such scarring. A carbon dioxide laser, for example, can remove excess tissue that has collected around the scar area.

The number of laser acne treatments you will need also depend on the extent of your acne problem. In some cases, one treatment will be sufficient to cure your problem or you may need four or five treatments.

In all cases, the skin will be red after the procedure and may last for a few months. If the treatment is successful, a bit of redness is not much to have to endure when you know that you are rid of the unsightly zits.

When the laser wavelengths are directed at the affected areas of the skin, they are absorbed by porphyrins, which are chemicals that are naturally present in the skin. The laser acne treatment causes these chemicals to have a negative impact on the metabolism of the areas affected by acne and in this way it changes their makeup and destroys the acne, similar to an acne care system but with quicker and stronger results.

Even though these chemicals are destroyed in the process, the skin remains undamaged and after the redness subsides, the skin is refreshed, looking and feeling healthy. You may have to use a skin care product following the treatment to aid in the recovery process.
